Allergen Testing
One of the leading causes of recalls in the US, undeclared allergens can pose a risk to your brand. We help you mitigate that risk by providing routing testing for the top 8 (soon to be top 9) major allergens.
We offer both qualitative and quantitative tests so you can select the method that is most effective for your QA plan.
The Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act (FALCPA) that the "top 8" allergens must be clearly listed in plain English in the ingredient list if the food contains them:
- Peanut
- Tree nuts
- Milk
- Egg
- Wheat
- Soy
- Fish
- Shellfish
In addition, the FASTER act of 2021 requires that Sesame allergens be labeled. Compliance with the FASTER act is required by January 1st 2023.
